Over the past eleven years, The Atlantic Dialogues have sought to suggest a new understanding of Atlantic dynamics – the Wider Atlantic - by underscoring the growing importance of the South Atlantic in the global geopolitical debate, and building bridges between Africa and South America, in a dialogue with Europe and North America. This unique conference serves as a pivotal platform for three continents—Africa, the Americas, and Europe—to collaboratively shape the future of their shared space, ensuring that voices from the South are heard and valued.
This year, we welcome over 400 high-level participants from more than 90 countries, including seasoned experts, and influential voices from government, academia, the private sector, CSOs, and beyond, to engage in collaborative dialogue on shared global challenges. At the heart of the conference is its diversity that enhances cross-sectoral and cross-regional discussions, and a search for a balance between regions, fields of expertise, and backgrounds in addressing key strategic issues.
Our agenda will feature 11 plenary sessions, 2 Conversations, 16 Breakout Dinners, and 3 Night Owl Sessions, designed to inspire actionable policy recommendations through cross-sectoral exchange. We encourage you to take part in the different formats we offer, from the interactive plenary session to the uninhibited Night Owl sessions, and the in-focus and intimate Breakout Dinners which will be held in different riads and restaurants around the city of Rabat.
The Policy Center for the New South will also host the 11th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) Program, from December 8th to 14th, bringing together 44 dynamic emerging leaders selected from a global pool of over 1000 candidates. These young change-makers, aged 25-35, will take part in a tailor-made leadership, policy and networking program and will join the conference as full participants to contribute diverse perspectives and innovative insights, ensuring that the Atlantic Dialogues remains an inclusive platform for intergenerational and transformative exchange.
